2007 Round Up was a Great Success! THANK YOU! The weather bit
us in the butt a little bit, but a good time was had by all! And more than
$300.00 dollars was made for rescue. Yippee!
Even though we are done with the Round Up for this year, this site
will house the pictures and post-Round Up information until next
year's round up takes its place.
History of the Round Up
In 1995 the Great Dane Round Up was started by Frank and Brenda Young of Royal Sooner Danes in conjunction with the Best Friends of Oklahoma City Animal Shelter's Festival of the Pet. In 2004, Heartland Great Dane Rescue co-hosted the Round Up with Royal Sooner Danes. In 2005, Frank and Brenda Young's schedule no longer permitted them to co-host the Round Up. Heartland Great Dane Rescue took over hosting with their blessing. The event has continued to evolve. This year, although the Festival of the Pet will not be held, the Round Up event is bigger than ever. Games, prizes, raffles, food and fun will all be had in large quantities. Come out and be a part of Oklahoma Great Dane History in the making!

You and your well behaved Dane(s) are cordially invited to a day of play with other danes and their owners. Water and bowls for watering will be provided. Be prepared to clean up after your Great Dane. Don't forget a chair or picnic blanket and plan to spend the day!
