 Qualifications

Before Fostering HGDR you must prove you are over 21, have taken responsibility for the pets in your household through proper vet care, and are willing to do the same for your Foster Great Dane. To care for a Great Dane you must know the basics please read the following articles.

Step 1. Application

 

Complete and send Foster Application in. The more complete you answers and less blanks to faster we can complete your application.

 

 

 

Step 2. Home Visit

 

Once your application is completed on our end you will be contacted for a home visit. This is not the big deal that is sounds like. Its not a white glove test. Its a time to share dog proofing ideas, tell you what we have learned about living with Great Danes and how to avoid the pitfalls we all went through. Also share some stumbling blocks foster family often have and our solutions so your can have a smoother transition thank most of us did.

 

Step 3. Dane Acceptance

 

Once the home visit is complete, your will be contacted about Danes in need for you to begin fostering. HGDR will make every effort to place a Dane compatible with your lifestyle based on the information we have about a Dane in need at the time of intake.
